Veronica Barriga is a journalist who has worked for a variety of legacy media outlets, such as NBC Right Now (local news), Spectrum News 1 Texas, TMZ, and AfterBuzz TV. Known for her compassion and authentic style of delivering news, her diverse work has featured a variety of stories- from advocates fighting for social issues to red carpet exclusives she is on the forefront of current events.  Today her focus is independent reporting thats bridges the gap between traditional news and new media. 

 

As a special needs mom and first generation Mexican- American (orale!) she has experienced both struggle and triumph, a unique perspective that fuels her storytelling approach. Veronica has also worked as as indie producer, pumping out a handful of award-wining projects including a feature film, and reality tv sizzles. 

 

She graduated from California State University Northridge with a Bachelor in Broadcast Journalism. She also holds three (collect them all, lol) Associate Degrees from Pasadena City College where she spent too many years before finally transferring to a university.
